Mummy Boy Mixtape Volume 4

Allie & Mike here with this month's mixtape

Mike: I went full fall mode- no other season has such a musical connection for me. Emily Jane White is criminally underrated, and her whole catalog is excellent, especially this time of year. This Land of Talk song is (for me) the musical equivalent of Daniel Danger's “please don’t worry, when i wake up i’ll be something new”, one of my favorite pieces of art that I've had hanging for over a decade now. Men I Trust is music for everyone while still being cool as hell. I feel like Slothrust is a band you would stumble across playing live somewhere without hearing them first, and being blown away by how much she rips (no matter how sad this song makes me). Grave Pleasures-perfect cold night music. mewithoutYou - there's nobody like them, though plenty have tried, and I keep coming back to their music year after year. Comadre - Bay Area Screamo represent.

Allie: i've been a big fan of Jeff Burke for over a decade now (i'm not aging, YOU'RE aging....) so had to support the new Radioactivity album coming out soon. then some high energy tracks from Alemeda, nashville's own Snõõper and tried and true Terror. most of my free time has been sunk into Skate recently, so this REDD. song is coming straight off that killer soundtrack. finally, kudos to Mutant's own Eric Garza for singing Thrice's praises for as long as i've known him, and me only just now actually understanding the hype.
