Super7 Sponsors New Nacelle Company Series A Toy Store Near You

THE NACELLE COMPANY’S NEW SERIES, A TOY STORE NEAR YOU, SECURES SAN FRANCISCO TOYMAKER, SUPER7, AS PROMOTIONAL SPONSOR

LOS ANGELES, CA – The Nacelle Company, the people behind Netflix’s The Toys That Made Us, and The Movies That Made Us, as well as Disney +’s Behind The Attraction and CW’s Discontinued, announced earlier this week that they’re producing a new show that features vintage toy stores around the world. A Toy Store Near You is set to premiere in mid-April with famed San Francisco toymaker, Super7 attached as one of the show’s promotional sponsors.

A Toy Store Near You will feature stores across America that are still operating under legal guidelines during the health crisis. Some stores are running under an online storefront, while others have opted to provide curbside delivery only. The first episode will feature Billy Galaxy Toys in Portland, Oregon, one of the premiere toy stores in the country. The majority of the proceeds from the show will go back to each store that is featured, while states across the country go into mandatory quarantine situations to battle the COVID-19 crisis.

Super7 has quickly become one of the most recognizable names in the toy world today. Their approach to showcasing niche films, shows and brands have brought them out of the niche collector’s market and into the mainstream collector’s market by producing collectibles for brands like RoboCop, Iron Maiden, Jaws, Bevis and Butthead, Misfits, Alien, Pee-wee’s Playhouse and more.

“At Super7’s core, we are collectors making the kinds of toys we always wanted. In that spirit, when we opened the first Super7 store in 2003, it was about building the kind of toy store we wanted to shop at. Over the years, anytime we travel to a new town, one of the first destinations is always the local toy store, to not only look for toys, but to meet the collectors and people running the actual stores. To have a docu-series focusing on these amazing personalities and places in this time of uncertainy for many of these shops is amazing gift from the people of Nacelle. We could not be more excited to help support this effort in every way possible,” said Super7 Founder Brian Flynn.

“All of us at Nacelle have collected toys (if not dozens of them) from Super7 over the years and we’re ecstatic that they’ve come on board to join our exciting new project,” said Brian Volk-Weiss, CEO of The Nacelle Company.

The series will initially be available on Amazon Prime Video, Vimeo, and YouTube, with one to two episodes expected per week starting mid-April. Down the line, it can be expected that other platforms for viewing will be added as they come online.
